Like multiple programs around the country, ours started out as a 4-H project that quickly culminated into a family business. Our original intent was to reduce the costs associated with purchasing so many show critters each year. Not sure that was logical since the labor left and the animals stayed!!!

We started by selecting quality rams and using them on the show ewes we had purchased. Each year we breed for specific qualities to make the next generation better. Once we established ourselves around fifty head of quality females, we began using modern tools in the form of artificial insemination and a flush program to mass produce the ones we have the most faith in and have been doing so for the past five years. We continue to heavily select traits that we think benefit the junior market programs and breeding flocks our customers have.
